Re: Game Closes When Switching Between Apps

I've also noticed the portrait/landscape thing but I do wonder if that's just looking for a pattern and I just hadn't noticed it before. It doesn't seem to have a bearing on whether the app will close in the background or not, after testing a bit today. It just seems completely arbitrary, but there are some apps that are much more likely to force SWGOH to close when switching to them - Discord, for example, will close the game in the background almost every time when switching between the 2.

I'm having all of the above problems. Force restarting the program when switching and the portrait landscape issue as well. I am using a pixel 6 Pro with the latest updates and this has only happened. Since the game has been updated. I have removed the game and the phone behaves flawlessly Ergo, The problem must be the game. I have not got this issue on any other applications at all.

If I uninstall the game and use discord and the camera app and dozens of other applications, I can switch between them without any of them needing to be relaunched. 

As soon as I install this game the issues reoccur. It must be interfacing with the memory somehow either for notifications or something else, but it is definitely causing issues.

• Edit: I hard reset my phone and reinstalled everything from scratch and up until I installed the game, As soon as that happened this iss

Ugh. Now that would be a pain. Because it doesn't half knacker the battery constantly loading the game. 

I don't play another other games but use high memory applications and looking at memory usage it doesn't seem to tickle the 12 GB I have, so I'm not entirely convinced there isn't an issue as well as something else. That said, you may be right so not sure what we can do but it's a pain.

Interestingly, if I disable the app or don't launch it then the phone operates perfectly and I can switch between apps and even the camera and I get no restarts from any other app. There must be something happening, maybe not entirely on their end, but there is an element of it for sure

Thanks for that link. You know what that makes sense. The screen sort of freezes for a second when you come out of the game and it rotates and you can see the widgets reloading. So it does seem to be a Google or at least pixel issue. 

Interestingly if I leave a game dialogue box open the problem doesn't happen.
