Re: Marked being ignored
There is no bias here, what I am saying is that at best the mechanics and uses of taunt and marked can be unclear, detrimental, and/or needlessly complex. With the introduction of marked, there are several updates that could be made to the descriptions of abilities and buffs. The fact that it is not stated anywhere that marked can be ignored makes it seem unintended. Considering the detail many other ability descriptions go into, I do not believe my point is invalid. Just because many people are used to how the effects currently work does not mean it is clear to the community as a whole. If you were a new player and saw for the first time the descriptions and and limitations of taunt and marked in text form only, you would be mislead. Either marked should not be ignorable, or several descriptions are in need of updating, as well as geonosian spy’s starfighter inflicting taunt in a debuff form, which is just an overly complex way of saying “marked.” I did assume grievous inflicting marked instead of taunt was intended to be a workaround for taunt ignoring characters, because in text that is what anyone would assume if they were unfamiliar with the effect.
