Buff immunity cannot prevent Boba Fett from gaining the Resolve buff when he scores a kill, so the description is true. Execution (and similar attacks) can prevent him from reviving because they aren't preventing him from gaining the buff; they're preventing the actions/benefits derived from the buff.
That's why the zombie's ability description makes it perfectly clear that it's the revival action that can't be prevented. Because it's intended to be a different and better ability that acts as a veto against the kind of attack that normally kills characters like Boba Fett.
