Re: Stuck fight
Actually, since I have no chance to get the last crate anyway, I decided I may as well go and waste some more energy on testing this. Here are some more findings:
- "Forfeit" actually works fine to exit the fight. I admit I didn't even test this part when it happened the first time today, because I remember it not working in previous instances and just closed the game in frustration. On my later tests I tried it and it works ok. Waiting out the timer still does not end the fight however, it just goes to 0:00 and nothing else happens.
- One-shotting Dark Trooper with Rex-Phoenix instead of Geos was the same - still caused the game to get stuck.
- One-shotting him using a manual attack instead of toggling auto combat still caused the game to get stuck.
- Trying it on 1x speed instead of my usual 4x - did NOT cause the game to get stuck. So speed is a factor.
I also noticed a weird interaction with the "Never-ending Ranks" buff that the enemy has in that fight. When I killed Dark Trooper slower, one "Dark Trooper Squad" stack per turn, "Never-ending Ranks" remained at 5 stacks, but whenever I one-shot him through all of his "Dark Trooper Squad" stacks in a single turn using assists, it'd remove a stack from "Never-ending Ranks". However I'm not convinced it's related to the game getting stuck as it happened both when it got stuck (4x speed) and when not (1x speed), and also similar stuck fights have happened previously in other game modes without the "Never-ending Ranks" mechanic.
I may test a few other things later as I get more energy.
