SITH TROOPER PROTECTION UP DOES NOT SHOW UP

You are using a Nihilus lead. His leader skill removes all protection from sith allies and converts it to health. In turn, protection up is null.

Yeah I know. But before the last update he used to gain that blue protection

Oh, please. Jedi Consular's ship can grant Protection Up to Imperial TIE Fighter, a ship that has no Protection stat, when it calls for assistance. Under any other circumstance, a character that is geared/modded too low to have a Protection stat can gain Protection Up.

Protection Up is not Protection, and it apparently wasn't meant to be. It is a buff (meaning it is, for better or worse, dispellable) that is similar to Protection, but essentially separate from it and therefore was never subject to the conversion effect of the Nihilus lead.

If this change is meant to redefine Protection Up, then so be it. But there's no way they would have created previews of Sith Trooper & Nihilus with such a visibly prominent feature, then released the characters, then let everyone believe that it was working as intended for a whole year, if it were in fact a bug.

Protection regen does not matter under DN lead, however protection up always occurs regardless of leadership. Like if you use pheonix before they are purple gear level they will still gain protection per protection up, so sith trooper is not currently WAI

To dude saying he shouldn't be getting protection, You don't know what you are talking about. Protection up is a buff. Unless buff immunity is present protection up should always be possible under Darth Nihilus. You are either new to the game, or need better reading comprehension

Right, people are confusing the "protection up" buff and regaining protection.

For example - zeta Dooku doesn't do anything under Nihilus lead other than get crit immunity. That makes sense and is wai.
However, Sith Trooper gains the buff "protection up" that gives him a little bit of protection that can be completely dispelled via Asajj or Baze, or completely blocked prior with buff block.

It's no different than tie fighter getting a little temporary protection in fleet with Scimitar or tie reaper that can expire after a couple of turns - just like Trooper.

The buff should've been named "Plasma Shield" or something instead of Protection Up, just to preempt people going "but Nihilus lead says no Protection allowed!"
