Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Play game on a OnePlus phone.

The issue seems to be with the phones after all, but not in an "unfixable" manner. I'm not a dev or techie, but I think I solved the issue. You must turn off the gaming mode that automatically kicks on with loading the game. It says it optimizes the memory, processors and background app usage to make games run optimally. Something about this feature apparently causes the game to freeze from time to time. Unsure if it has to do with the game's calculations/graphics processing being tripped up by the gaming mode feature. But, upon turning it off 4 days ago, I've had zero freezes, including in P2 of the hSTR (which my first fight against Sion was always a guaranteed freeze). And, the game actually seems to run smoother  and everything WAI as an added bonus!

For OnePlus users having this issue: go into "settings" and towards the bottom is the section with Gaming Mode options. Go in there, and turn it off for SWGOH. Your freezing issues should be solved.

@CG/EA You may want to put up an announcement on the forums and here on the bug reports to let users having this issue with their OnePlus devices know how to go about getting their phones to work seamlessly with the game again.

I just checked and mine has been turned off and not sure how long it has been off. Originally it was on though. I am using a Oneplus 7 pro and lately I have been having a lot of freezes especially in GAC. So when I start GAC now, I restart my app first. Not sure if that helps but I like to think it does.

@Humanstained I thought restarting the game helped, I went even further and did it after every couple of fights in GAC until it froze yesterday after a second or third fight in so either I need to restart after each fight, which is unacceptable in my book, or (probably a more realistic option) the restarts didn't help one bit.
