I have wasted over 200 energy trying to take out sith teams and Nest teams, and switching out disks, but because T34 is broken I cannot move beyond either.

Leaders ALSO aren't going below 1% without insta kill. Which is not what the disk reads.

Are you sure you've removed it? When you remove disks there's an energy cost (7 per disk) and you need to OK that cost in a pop up window. It seems unlikely that the effect of the disk persists even after you've removed it.
That's because the leader is also an enemy. If they intended him to be exempt, they would have said "other enemies" or something else explicit, as is consistent with their wording for other abilities. It is not broken and is working as described.

I read another post in the forum that explained it better. I didn't realize the data discs could work against you too. I ended up having to remove all of my data discs to defeat those guys rather than trying to figure out which on was causing the characters to not die. I finally defeated them though. NOw I have to wait for my time to build back up to progress further for today.
Enough - off to the rancor with all of you!
The disc for for completing FEATs (F-34T) so you don't spend all your energy burning multiple attempts to get 100 def down, 200 accuracy up, etc. It is not to be used to progress in Conquest.
