Just a small note, as far as I am aware nothing in game counters characters that are called to assist if they are the secondary damage dealer. Whoever JC calls to assist shouldn't be countered, so this bit is WAI at least.

    but shouldnt they? if retribution says it works the same as counter, and counter counters everyone who attacks who isn't stealthed...

        ^ this is best chance if being right.

        And I don't know what game you are playing, but no-one counters every opponent in a multi-attack. For example, in a GW match, Biggs uses his special, Wedge and one other assist, but only Biggs gets countered.
