Unable to open game

Game was ok this morning.

At 14:00 GMT the app would crash before showing EA loading screen and the operating system tells me that the app has a bug and to wait for a fix to be deployed by developers.

I have cleared cache and data and uninstalled/installed. Unsure whether Google Play automatically downloaded any update.

  • I've reported this issue for investigation. I'll report back when I have an update. 

    Please try deleting, reinstalling and restarting to see if this resolves the issue.

    EDIT 8/12: A fix has been released for this issue.

    Have you tried any troubleshooting of your home network? Check to make sure SWGOH isn't being blocked by your router somehow. I also recommend power cycling as I mentioned previously.

    I don't have any insight into why they couldn't help. I know one of the more common reasons is due to not being able to answer the account verification questions correctly. Unfortunately, without being able to verify account ownership, the advisor can't help.

    I have power cycled my router a few times and no change. I do not see anywhere that swgoh is blocked.

    Is there anyway that communication between swgoh server and a cellular carrier could be affected by an update? The app definitely knows the difference when i try to launch in airplane mode. It gives a "No internet connection detected. Enable wifi or cellular internet access to continue" vs connected to my Tmobile network/Tmobile wifi "Unable to access required internet resource. Possible service interruption or poor internet connection"

    Again, swgoh is the only app I have that is having this issue with my internet and my signal strength is 4/5-5/5 bars of 5G.

    I apologize, EA support in French is so bad. I asked to recover my account, they changed my email address, and I thought they had to change my address to recover my account, but no. Anyway, to this day, I still haven't recovered my account since July 30th, and I apologize for saying it was in August.

    Something is going on with the provider since all other connections work. The best I can advise is to again contact their support to see if they can help.

    Hello, after 2 months of fighting to recover my account I finally recovered it, for information when an account is linked to google play and overwritten the only way to recover it is the following create an account with game center, they cannot transfer an account from android to android, on the other hand from android to apple ios or vice versa.
