Solved

You do not have enough energy or sim tickets

But I do! See screenshots.

Burnt energy simming 5 battles only to see this message - after I had simmed. Received no shards and lost all the energy spent.

Did the battle manually, twice, and got a different error: You do not have enough SHARED_CURRENCY_GALACTIC_CHALLENGE to attempt this Battle. OK. (See second screenshot).

No, not OK, I just did the battle.

Please address and refund energy spent (7 x 16) or provide equivalent in shards, and maybe a little extra for my trouble 🙂

It sounds like your game went out of sync. Generally speaking, restarting your game or purchasing a free Bronzium pack, or using 250 Ally points will re-sync the game and fix any issues encountered.

  • How is this a 'solution'?

Sorry to rain on your parade, but we must have different understandings of 'solution'.

Does it solve the issue, i.e. prevent it from occurring? No.

If my house catches on fire due to dodgy wiring, the solution is not to pull out the fire extinguisher, it's to fix the wiring!

It's a solution in that now you will be able to sim normally again. When your client is back in sync, you'll actually have any rewards that you think you might have missed.

  • Okay, "try turning it off and on again" (syncing via restart) is not really a solution, no matter how funny that meme is.

What's been mentioned is a 'workaround' and it is a very poor workaround at that. Better coding would prevent the need for such a workaround. At the very least, a check prior to simming battles, not afterward, makes sense.

Also, remember that 'the customer is always right' is a thing for a reason, because the customer best knows how the issue impacts them and their expectations.

I speak for all your customers in telling you that this is certainly not a 'solution'.

The issue is not just of 'rewards' or any additional energy wasting trying to acquire them. There is a basic, reasonable expectation that "try turning it off and on again" should nto be required of a mobile game.

It would be nice to know that this issue has been sent to the dev team and treated without levity.
