The sims 1 rerelease shows the little icon for a second and then nothing happens.

I'm getting an "incompatibility with 64-bit versions of windows" error and can't load either. Depressing.
This work for me, i have nvidia card but pick on board gpu(intel onboard gpu).
click nvidia control panel>pick sims legacy>use intel graphic card
uninstall vc++2015 and reinstalling again

JoBunniStar Quivy96 Goose964 ForbiddenGirl17 Try reinstalling your 2015 and newer VC++ runtimes. Open Windows Settings > Apps, scroll down to the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables, and uninstall everything from 2015 and newer. Don't touch the older versions.
Download the x86 and x64 versions (not the ARM version) of the 2022 runtimes from Microsoft:

Install the runtimes, restart your computer, and try to play.
