Sims 1 Legacy Still not opening despite 2/6 update

Anyone still having issues opening sims 1 since 2/6/25 update. I am still getting this error message. Still haven’t got to play yet ughhh!

    Hi all,

    This issue was resolved in today's patch:

    • On several hardware configurations, the game would display a “Unable to find a suitable Vulkan device” error (AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060, and others)
    • Some players who have experienced problems with getting an error indicating a lack of Vulkan compatible devices have reported that in some cases removing "OpenCL™, OpenGL®, and Vulkan® Compatibility Pack" can resolve the issue

     

    If you're still experiencing this issue, please create a new thread so we can investigate into this further.

    I'm not getting an error message, but now the game won't open at all! Up until today, I had been unaffected but now the fix seems to have broken my game.

    Hi all,

    Can you let me know which launcher you're currently playing through- Steam, Epic or EA app, as well as provide a DxDiag and a vulkaninfo report please?

    For the vulkaninfo, click Windows key-R, enter vulkaninfo in the run box, and wait for the scan to finish (the scroll bar should stop moving).  Click anywhere in the window and click ctrl-A to highlight all the text.  Click ctrl-C to copy.  Open Notepad and ctrl-V to paste.  Save the file as vulkaninfo [your username] , upload it to a third-party filesharing site, and send a private message to me with the link.

    Please also try uninstalling the "OpenCL™, OpenGL®, and Vulkan® Compatibility Pack" if you have this currently installed to your PC.

    I bought Sims 1 Legacy about half hour ago and I got the same message than kfetters1992 got. Very irritating -.-
