Sims Legacy is unplayable, any advice?

Hi, this is my first post here. I bought the Sims Legacy 1&2 bundle over a week ago. The original sims is so broken it's unplayable. It crashes within 15 minutes. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, repairing it within the EA app multiple times, deleting all sims files from my laptop and reinstalling. I tried contacting EA via live chat and was only given advice I have already tried. I am Autistic and really struggle with tech and following steps unless they use very basic language. I'm at the point that I will have to just give up and ask for a refund because I can't play it at all. Does anyone have any ideas that I can try? I really don't want to give up on the games but I don't see any other way to sort it out.

    I have the same problem :( It's so annoying!!! The only hope is waiting for a patch I believe.

    I’m in the situation as you. I tried chatting with EA for a refund today, but they refused even though I have yet to play. They basically said I’ll just have to wait for a patch. I just wish there was a little more communication on whether the problem is actively being worked on, and how long it may take. I’m worried I’ll never get to play!
