The Sims™ Legacy Collection scaling issue (tiny UI) with 1080p displays only

UI scaling is broken on The Sims™ Legacy Collection when running a native 1920x1080 desktop resolution.
Running at higher resolutions makes the UI scale up so it's not tiny, but running at a native 1080p desktop makes the UI tiny compared to all other resolutions.

Screenshots clearly showing the 1080p UI scaling issue:

Changing the desktop resolution to anything other than 1080p solves the issue, however this is not a reasonable solution.

EA can you please fix the faulty UI scaling @ 1080p, for The Sims™ Legacy Collection?
Or at the very least include a setting for changing either the resolution of the game, or the scale of the UI, in the game's options as is the case with pretty much every other game released ever?

  • Hi all,

This was resolved in today's patch:

    • The UI scaling at different levels can be too extreme

If you're still experiencing this issue, please create a new post so we can continue to investigate. Thanks!

  • EA_Solaireplease tell if the team already knows about this 😇 we are trying to raise the awareness of this for like 2 weeks in different social media and it starts to look like this problem with the most common resolution is purposely ignored

EA_SolaireCan we please get a fix for this for the next patch or at least a confirmation that it's getting investigated? It's very weird that only *one* resolution just doesn't scale properly, and even more such a common one as 1080p. Thank you so much in advance :D

  • Unfortunately this 1080p UI scaling issue remains unresolved in the latest patch #3.
Additionally, the '-maxaspect: 4:3' launch option does absolutely nothing on my system @ 1080p (aka it does not change the aspect ratio at all).

  • I feel the same way! The UI panels are just too small they look even smaller than standard ones from The Sims Complete Collection (with and without HD patch). How is that even possible? It was supposed to became larger for larger Screens, not smaller!!
