The sims 1 Legacy NO Music

Michunet  Another user with the same issue fixed it by disabling 5.1 surround sound:

I have it disabled and it's not the sound, it's JUST the music.

I have the same problem. Hopefully EA comes with a update or repair!

I have the same issue! No audio works after the initial loading sound. OBS wont pick up any audio from the game either 

I also have the same problem. The music in all menus neighborhood selection and Vacation etc are not working or playing.

Have you checked the Realtek control panel or Waves Max app to see if there are any "sound enhancements" turned on?

Hi same issue, did anyone figure it out? No issue with my speaker/settings and the FX is working just fine. Frustrating!!!!

I know this is late, but I got my music to work today by moving my installation folder to the x86 program files folder on my c drive, and changing the compatibility options to windows xp service pack 3. No need to adjust the audio settings to stereo, or install any patches.
