Bob 3942 by SoundEscapes sound error

The Bob 3942, the synth object in the Sims 2, is currently broken in the Legacy Collection. Opening up the cheat window, I see the following error messages:

Very rarely I will get a sound from it (usually when my Sim stops using it), but otherwise it is silent.
