Crashing upon entering a neighbourhood after update

Hi,

My game was working perfectly fine up until the update today. Now whenever I boot into any neighbourhood my game crashes completely, with no error message, just goes straight back to my desktop. I have the Steam version. This happens even when I boot neighbourhoods I haven't played before, and when I remove my mods. I have tried verifying my files, which didnt help. Any help would be massively appreciated. I can upload logs or anything if needed.

  • For anyone reading this now who has the same issue - sounds super silly now... but it fixed for me after clearing all my cache, hope this helps anyone

  • lottieaxe Feel free to upload your Logs folder in a ZIP file, you can use the paperclip icon in the reply window.

Does the game crash in a fresh user folder? You can generate one by renaming the current The Sims 2 Legacy folder in Documents\EA Games\ or moving it to your desktop; the game will then create a new one with vanilla settings for you to test in.

  • Hello,

I am currently experiencing this issue. I never had a problem with TS2 Legacy Collection until the new patch was released on Steam. Any suggestions?

  • lottieaxe- Do you know which folder the cache is located under?
**Update** I located the cache files and deleted them. When I click on any neighborhood, it's still doing the same thing. It will load with the hourglass spinning and crashes. 😩
