Game Starting Bug

I have a bug that just occured today, when I boot up the game on steam the window immediately looks like it goes into windowed mode and then minimizes but the intro still plays in the background for a bit and cuts off. I can open the game back up but then it just does it again. Thanks for all your hard work getting this old game to work on modern systems I was having fun hopefully it's an easy fix. (Just a heads up the gif was supposed to end when I pressed stop, but I couldn't find the stop button so)
