I think I might have found the solution

This is meant more for EA to see, but everyone feel free to comment on the subject.
I was speaking in the community hub in steam with people about the issues. And someone posted a video of taking a deep dive into the neighborhood corruption stuff (I don't know if I can post links to youtube, or if it's not allowed) and the issues that people are having comparing that to the video. It makes me believe that an overwhelming amount of issues is coming from file overflowing.
At the beginning of Sims 2 lifespan (AKA 21 years ago) there was a population limit of 1,000. At some point in time the limit got increased to +32,000.

Yeah, the character limit is 32767.

Yeah, I know April Black's deep dive on corruption.

I think you may be on the right track as one thing done was optimizing the game to use more memory, but still, I'm wondering exactly how...

And how does the population limit plays into it? I'm sure noone's population grows from around 500 to 32767 in one day...

Yeah my question is if somehow the patch that made TS2 go from 1,000 to 32,767 got lost? And as I understood it, is that the population limit not necessarily means Sims only. I would like to know more regardless.

I don't think so... The 1,000 characters limit never existed, but people just report more issues with it...

Still, I am no expert on that, so my comment is just a guess.

Oh yeah, now I realized that the 1,000 was a myth, but the 32,767 is true, even in the video she explains it, it got lost because it was 2 hours of "new info" (well at least new for me) so I just kinda scooped over it. Yeah it is odd. I'm no expert either, just trying to connect the dots from the stuff I have read on the community plus that video. There is also the fact as like she explained it in the video, is that people are crashing of what I have read, in moments were the neighborhood package is being updated therefore triggering a full reset of the system ID TS2 uses, so instead of continuing from where it left off, it starts again at 1, overwriting stuff that shouldn't be overwritten. It's fascinating... sad (because of the issues it is giving people)... but fascinating nonetheless.
