In the Sims Legacy folder, try deleting the cache files and thumbnails. When the game generates new ones, are they still wrong?
Even after deleting all the content from the folder, the problem persists. I've tried restoring the game via EA Play and nothing works; it must really be a bug with the thumbnails.
