Installation sims 2

''Some needed files were corrupted during the installation. Please reinstall the application.'' WHAT do to?

This is the issue have faced as well. I tried reinstalling to see if it would fix the problem and also tried repair, but I still received the ''Some needed files were corrupted during the installation. Please reinstall the application.'' message.
