I purchased the legacy bundle and was trying it out. The Sims worked ok but when I went to open The Sims 2 it did not open and froze my computer. The icon appeared but it could not be clicked on and i could not click anything else on my computer. I tried repairing and restarting my computer.
I am having this same issue. My computer says the game is running but nothing happens and I’m unable to click on anything. Restarting my computer is the only way to unfreeze. I’m not getting any popups or error messages either. Just nothing.
I had this same issue and another poster fixed it for me.
Go to your game library
Click the three dots
View properties
Add -w to the command line
