Launch Error

I am sick and tired of this first the Sims 2 Legacy is working and then it is not. I have tried everything and after 2 updates it still is busted! I'll get one of two things, a black screen, or nothing causing me to not even be able to interact with my computer! This is really dumb and I am tired of it EA fix this!
