"Needed files were corrupted during installation"

hi! i bought both the sims 1 & 2 on january 31th, but every since i've been receiving this message everytime i tried to open the sims 2. i've reinstalled it loads of times and that's all it happens
i don't know what i could be doing wrong, does anyone know what to do?
