Sims 2 Birthday Bundle

Hello! Is anyone else having an issue when downloading their sims 2 from the Sims Birthday Bundle that just released??? My download of it gets to about 97%, before it crashes, saying "DirectX Setup Error: An Internal error occurred.". And when I click on "OK", it then pops up "Invalid command line switch.". Does anyone have suggestions on what I can do to make the game download? :'(

    Okay, I found a  way to fix this, at least it worked for me and now I have the game downloaded! On this website there is a link where you can download a "The Microsoft DirectX® End-User Runtime". After I downloaded it and installed it on my laptop, I was able to get my Sims 2 legacy to finish installing! Hope this helps you as well! :D

After I downloaded it and installed it on my laptop, I was able to get my Sims 2 legacy to finish installing! Hope this helps you as well! :D

    I had the same issue and am unable to download Microsoft DirectX End-User Runtime as well :(

    That's strange? Your PC won't let you download it? Is it blocking the download? :(

    I am really confused. I purchased the Sims 25 Birthday Bundle but it looks like I can only play it if I also sign up for EA Play Pro? I can't afford that and I can't find any way to contact EA.

    Hey thanks for the solution! I was having the same messages coming up and couldn't find a solution! Quick question though, when you downloaded the DirectX User Runtime, which folder did you place it in, as it's prompting me to put it in a folder/location on my PC?
