Sims 2 Bug Report

I'm having the same issues. Can't delete the stairs anymore and that goes for full size and half stairs like from the ground to a foundation. I haven't found a way to delete them and my sims can't use them.

Caroex mlampy Please let me know if the cheat deleteAllStairs does anything.

Zeedxar0 If you use Custom Content stairs, keep in mind that they might require an additional file (text file added to the Scriptorium framework provided by modders) to work. I am not sure whether that has been broken with Legacy Collection.

mate54Nothing happens when I enter that cheat. It saying Unknown Command.

mlampy Thanks for letting me know. If you still have the affected lot, feel free to package it using the in-game package option, add it into a ZIP file and attach it to your reply here so I can check it out.

I'm having this issue still. I've been trying to renovate one of the townhomes I placed and I don't like the front stair case. I've placed one set, using the continuing stairs tool, to see if I liked the look, and now it won't deleted. It highlights with the sledge hammer and adds the money back but doesn't actually delete them. It's getting sooooo frustrating.

Modular stairs in Sims 2 have been buggy since they released Mansion and Garden and they never addressed it. I haven't had a stair bug (yet) since switching to Legacy, so I don't know if any of the things that used to work still will but here's what I've got:

Turn on MoveObjects on.

Find the right spot on the stairs to sledgehammer; trying different heights and angles. 

Using the stair tool, try holding control while you click on the stairs, trying different spots on the stairs if it doesn't work the first time.

Move the lot to a new location.

mlampy EmmeKahtleen Caroex Zeedxar0 The latest update should address the staircase issue. Please note that staircases that were bugged before the patch will not be fixed; delete them by forcing an error on them. New staircases should not have this issue.

The teleporting issue appeared on mlampy's lot with the buggy staircases, but as I replaced them they slowly stopped teleporting. This may have been connected to the deleting stairs issue, so I recommend testing on brand new lots.
