I remember the title from back in the PS2 days, but I don't think I played it, as I only played The Sims 2 on PC (I've still got most of my collector edition tin, actually). I might even have sold it to some people, as I would have been working at Game UK around the time.
I know it's not what you're asking for, but if you still have an old PS2 kicking around, you can still sometimes find second-hand copies of The Sims 2 Castaway online. There might also be an emulator that you could use, but I've not looked into that so I could be wrong.
Ooooh you should have played it it was amazing to me!!! You create up to I think 5 characters and when you start the game yall are on a boat that gets shipwrecked, you traverse between islands trying to survive and escape while finding the other characters! It was my favorite Sims game by far! Oh and trust me its definitely have a copy of it!! I would love a reboot to the newer consoles or a DLC to Sims 4 where it would add a complete similar story where you have to try to survive and make it back to civilization!!
