Sims 2 Legacy files corrupted during installation

Hello,

I tried to start Sims 2 Legacy on 3 different PCs, 2 X win 10 and 1 X win 11 but everytime the same error occurs. (See attached). Sims 1 had the same problem but with the new update it finally started.

Unfortunately Sims 2 won´t.

I am using EA App.

I am looking forward to your support.

Thank you very much in advance.

  • Same here. The update got stuck on 99%, as the initial installation did.... multiple times. I uninstalled the EA app, reinstalled, restarted my PC. When I ran the update again it actually finished. I ran the game thinking it would finally work... Nope!!!! I uninstalled Sims 2, reinstalled. It finished the installation properly this time so I thought it was solved.... Nope!!!! Still the same message. 'Files have been corrupted during the installation, please reinstall the application.' Blah, blah. I then ran a repair, and..... Still the same message!!!!

  • I’m having the same issue! I purchased The Sims 2 Legacy via the EA App and am running it on Windows 11. Every time I try to launch the game, I get the same message.

I’ve already tried reinstalling multiple times, but it didn’t help. I also thought the latest update might fix it, but I still can’t start the game.

Has anyone found a solution yet? Hoping EA can address this soon!
