Sims 2 Legacy Unable to Open

Question

I have seen other people on here have the same problem, but figured I just add in on here as well. I bought this game yesterday from the EA App and whenever I try starting the game is gives me a " Some needed files were corrupted during the installation. Please reinstall this application." message.

I did try reinstalling the game, repairing the game, reinstalling the app, and even tried changing the compatibility to see if that would work and nothing worked.

I'm having the exact same problem. When I spoke to someone from EA, they said that it is a known issue and that they are working on a fix.Absolutely ludicrous that the game be released this way.

I talked to someone from EA yesterday and they told me the same thing as well. They said they are currently figuring out on how to fix it. I hope it does get fixed as many people were excited to play this re-release only for it to either not start or it does start but then crashes during game play.&nbsp;
