Sims 2 Legacy Edition: My couple of Sims were in the tropical island vacation area. They took a taxi back to their bungalow and never arrived as it was an endless loading screen. I did ctrl alt delete to get out and tried several times. Tried repairing the game. Now I have their house in Pleasantview that I can't delete because they're on vacation but I can't get to them because it won't stop trying to load their vacation bungalow.

I had the same problem and suddenly my family is gone. It‘s like they never existed 😢
Thank you for your response. This work around solved the problem for now. Until they fix this problem, I just won't take any of my families on vacation. Hope it's fixed soon.
You can try to delete the whole destination (tropical island). Your sims will come back to their house as the destination they were in no longer exist.
