Sims 2 UC stretched weird?

I recently installed the Sims 2 Ultimate Collection on my computer and am having this weird issue where the actual game (menus and stuff are all fine) is stretched horizontally? Has anyone else experienced this/found a fix? I already did the resolution change to match my monitor and that didn't help :(
