Suggestion - Adjust UI Scaling in Settings
I just read the latest patch note as of this writing, here's a quote for to give contexts.
Improved Functionality:
- The Sims 2 will now, by default, use a larger scale factor to produce in-game UI on screens larger than 1080. If a larger or smaller UI is preferred then the cheat code “uintProp uiScaleFactor” can be used to specify a preferred value. Valid options are 1, 2 or 3. The game uses “2” by default. This value can be set to be persistent in the “Graphics Rules.sgr” file located in “The Sims 2 Legacy Collection\EP9\TSData\Res\Config" (where this folder is located will vary depending on which storefront you purchased the game from).

While I'm glad that UI-Scaling will depend on the resolution, I don't like that to change UI-Scaling is to manually edit a file which I can imagine people would ask how-to despite it being easy and come across as hackish.
In Graphics Setting, have a option to set UI-Scaling to Small, Medium and Large. Maybe give a warning that depending on the resolution, some UI element might not be usable and just like changing any graphic settings, have an window there for limited-time asking player to click "Yes" if they want to apply the change.
