The Sims 2: Legacy Edition keeps crashing

I bought the 25th Anniversary bundle on Steam and The Sims 1 doesn't even open, and The Sims 2 functions but after a while the game will exbibit an error massage that says: "This game presented an error. It will now be finalized". Is there a fix for that?
