Did you try going into here?
Yes, the in-game setting for resolutions only give me one option size which is 800x600. I can't turn on smooth edges either because it is greyed out and can't be adjusted. Only one option for refresh rate and that is 60.

Have you tried checking your screen resolution in the Display settings of your computer? On windows you just have to go to Display from Settings - System - Display. Then you can see what your display resolution is and even change it. No idea how it works on MacOS, if you're using that. But yeah just check your operative system's display settings and you will be able to check it there.

Weird. That resolution is normal behavior for the Ultimate Collection or the various pirated versions. You could always try the solution for that version, which is downloading and running the Graphics Rules Maker. And the 4 gig patch. But my Legacy game defaulted to my 2560x1600 resolution without doing anything. Compatibility with modern hardware is the biggest difference between the older release and the new release.
