The Sims 2 Legacy keeps crashing after 1-2 hours of playing

I have purchased yesterday The Sims 2 Legacy Collection from Steam. But only after 1-2 hours of playing, the game keeps crashing with no error message, so I have to save it frequently to not lose my ...

This has always been as issue as far as I can remember. I save a lot, probably more than is strictly necessary. I also stop playing after about an hour, delete the cache files, give it a few minutes, then start the game again.

Oh, so there's no solution right now? Thank you for your response. Will delete the cache files.
