The Sims 2 Legacy won't let me have babies/toddlers

Question

I recently bought the Legacy version of Sims 2 and my first sim wouldn't get pregnant. I realized after a while she wasn't making memories and only had the basic load-in ones even after getting married and graduating college. So I made a new family and created a toddler with them, and when I did, the game gave me a strange error message (pictured) and then replaced the toddler with a cat?? I don't understand what is happening. Is anyone else having this issue?

Hi I’m having a similar issue, my adult female sim nowhere near elder full relationship stats can’t get pregnant I’ve spammed “try for baby” but nothing!!! Even tried on another household to make sure

I’m having the same issue sim isn’t getting pregnant even tried the tombstone l&amp;d and do a genetic merger and NOTHING.

Same issue... i made my sims tried get them together... then when in love they said "try for baby" when i whoo hoo, but didnt want the baby then since havent been able to .. and same with other sims ive played
