Tips How To Get What You Want Without Cheating, Manipulating the Game.
1. Have you ever had a Sim who needs more friends for promotion and you just don't feel like inviting someone over or taking someone to a community lot to build up those relationships? If you are a rotational player just move them in (temporarily) with a larger family who have more friends. :) They gain all their friends and problem solved. They get their promotion and then you can move them out again. :D Whatever you want them to keep just put it in their inventory before moving out of the old place or out of the new place.
2. Have you been dying for your Sim to run into that dream boat you want them to meet? It's easy. If you know someone in his/her household just invite over the whole family. Viola, you didn't know your friend had that dreamy brother did you? lol :D Or if you play rotationally play that dreamboat for awhile take him/her to any community lot a few times. Then jump to your Sim and send him/her to the community lot. 9 times out of 10 that dreamboat will be one of the Sims who show up again. It's a given. You didn't know by manipulating the game you could 'accidentally' run into that dreamboat did you? :D
3. Did you get demoted right before your promotion was due? Don't answer the chance cards if you are expecting a promtion. Ignore!
4. Are you sick of adults that you barely know that you met but they called your kid instead of you? If you run to answer the phone, tell them No! the kid in your household is not available to talk...weirdo, why didn't you call me but are calling my kid? lol Nine times out of ten they will always ask for someone/anyone in the household instead of you..so always answer no for the other Sim and they will stop doing that.
5. Do you get phone calls out of the blue with townies you would rather not be friends with? Like the bartender called up your Sim and you didn't even meet him or her? No problems, hang up. Once you answer the phone, (you were planning on filling your social by talking to that cute Sim down the street you just met) hit the hang up option. Don't cancel they will call back over and over as the week goes on. But use the hangup option. But remember, if a strager calls up your Sim they will be fast to build up a relationship (faster than usual) and you may need them for promotion etc. How much are you willing to put up with their ugly face? lol jk
6. Are ghosts killing your good night's sleep? no worries just move the headstone or urn,before nightfall, they won't be back for three more days. You don't have to put it in inventory (but you can) you don't have to move your bed upstairs, just move the urn or headstone to a different room or spot outside and it resets for three more days.
7. Did asking someone if they like what they see, insult them and now they hate you? Ooh, you're gross! lol, no problem recover the relationship by choosing any of the following: entertain/joke, gossip/if available, and if available, apologize. Don't try to chat, it may backfire, with a cross look and crossed arms, and don't discuss hobbies...they will probably not like what you are talking about since you flirted too soon.
8. Is your Sim stinking to high heaven and there isn't a sink or shower anywhere to be found? Primp away! It may just save that date.
9. Is little Johnny going to fail when the sun rises? :blush: Have all the kids and teens in the household do his piled up homework. Is fun too low for them to do the homework? You have many decorative objects to build up fun (view) the more expensive the better..fun will be full and all the kids and teens can get it all done. Decorative view objects work faster than TV or radio or toys etc. Even faster than cops and robbers.
10. Darn the kid got up too early and now is sleepy and the bus is about an hour away...take a nap on the most expensive couch you have. It works faster than a recliner. Since walk to school was added..sleep that extra hour and have them skip the bus and go in a little later.
11. Are the kids starving before school...don't worry about it, the school or the military career (for adults) will always feed them.
12. Are you one skill point away from a promotion and you cheated that last point? The game is built so the last point cheat never works. You will have to earn it. Using the career rewards will work faster than reading up on mechanical (which seems to be the hardest last point to get).
13. Are you sick of chess? If you don't cheat to get the career rewards then have someone get the business career until they gain the golf thingy and build up logic that way (and fun). Anyone can use the career rewards in TS2 (except some are not possible for kids).
14. Are you sick of practicing in front of a mirror?..buy a bird, the more you talk to it the higher your charisma.
15. Can't make friends? Alone in the world and you like it that way? Relax on bed and daydream to build up your social or dance solo. Unless your job wants friends for you...you never have to speak to anybody, ever. A true loner Sim.
ETA: If you want easy peasy gameplay then might as well buy the extra rewards in Free Time EP aspiratons and rewards..it makes the game so easy it wasn't worth playing anymore. :D
