What Are Your Game Rules?

Do you have rules for your game? I do, so I thought I would share.

1. I play rotationally in a custom neighborhood that currently has 6 households. Rotations are 1 season long, after which I rotate to the next household, until I've gone through all 6.
2. Aspirations are based on zodiac signs. (I got this from PleasantSims.)
3. Sims can only marry other sims born in the same rotation/season as them. (I do this to avoid large age gaps.)
4. The amount of kids a sim has is based on their aspiration:
Family: 3 kids
Romance: 1 kid
Everything else: 2 kids
This keeps the population from getting too high or too low.
5. I play on a custom lifespan where 1 day = 1 year and pregnancy is only 18 hours. (Again, thanks to PleasantSims!)

I don't have any more yet, but feel free to share what rules you play with in your game, whether simple or complicated!

    @telmarina You mentioned traits and young adulthood. Are you in the wrong forum? This is for Sims 2.

    I alway start with a blank terrain template and build the basics like my community service center site with an outdoor farmer's market and a larger homestead lot using the largest lot size for my first couple's home and place all of the needed items on the lots before starting to play like a lot visitor controller and other hacked objects to set things up so the market donesn't get swarmed with sims and it's usually deserted except for my playables and any other families I might've eventually moved in after the founders got their home built.I play the community as families get moved in so I start with one couple and eventually have more move in over time and the first ones also start trying for babies as the latest ones are moving in.

    I don't usually have set rules, but right now I am playing a neighborhood that has no cheating, multiple lovers etc all that jazz. Just nice people having families and bettering their career or business. Though there is always an unprovoked fist fight at the grocery store between Benjamin Long and Goopy Gislbaro :|
