What if more fixes require a new game?

So I'm bummed about this: After update kids disappear AGAIN | EA Forums - 11866005

There are more missing fixes for bugs heavily complained about in the community. I'm mostly concerned about the vacation issues, even though I haven't tried that out in my game. What if I start a new save only to learn later on that all my work will be lost because I can't vacation? I want to start a BACC and massively decorate an empty town. I'm terrified!!!

    Yeah, I feel you. I just finished setting up my Uberhood only to see that earlier today. It took awhile to set it up & if sims go missing while I'm playing because they couldn't retroactively patch saves, I might just lose my mind. I think I'm going to hold off on really investing in gameplay for another week or two because I can't keep doing this every time they release new patches that require new saves.
