Model Mentor[ Cycle 1.5 ]- Mentors Please Check P27 - Next assignment up - Check in

After seeing this brilliant idea a few months ago I knew instantly when it was abandoned that I wanted to take over the roll as host! All credits go to ellelovesyou for the original idea that I've adapted and revamped.

The idea of this competition is slightly different to that in other competitions in which two simmers ; a teacher - an experienced simmer who has experience of competing and editing images and a learner - a simmer who is new to editing or competing or wants to learn more about how to get better pictures. The criteria below will explain better which one to choose but just a brief description is included above!

Every week a new task with a certain theme or skill to incorporate will be uploaded, your mentor will guide you in how to create a good image or how to use your editing program to manipulate the given skill into your image. For example you may be asked to incorporate a lens flare into your image, this may be fairly simple but will require you to listen to your mentor and follow their instructions on what and how to add lens flares to images.

This competition will have ten assignments and will have a mock just requiring the learners to create an image. From then on teacher and learner will work together to create an image, the learner doing everything from taking the image to editing and the teacher just guiding them! Have fun and good luck!

This competition will be different to many others as there will be multiple categories in which you can win prizes for, each will be based on different criteria and will be for teachers and / or learners

Prize Categories

Highest score - This one is pretty self explaining but anyway this prize will be given to team with the highest scores overall, mentor and teacher will both receive a signature. Scores from every task will be combined to find an overall winner for this prize.

Most improved - This prize will be given to the team that the judges believe have made the most progress since the start of the competition. The teacher and learner will be given a signature as they both contributed to the learner's improvements.

Most hard working - This prize will be given to the team who the judges think tried out the most risky techniques, tried all the skills and most importantly worked the hardest to get up to a high standard of images

Star Pupil - This prize is the most prestigious prize of the competition and is given to the learner who have their best, created some outstanding images and improved massively. There will be three star pupils chosen by each judge.

Star Teacher - Much like star pupil this prize is given to the three teachers who the judges believe worked their ***** off to help their learners create great images!

Learner - You qualify to be a learner if you haven't competed / haven't competed in many or have never edited. You also qualify to be a learner if you only know the basics of editing and / or haven't edited before.

Teacher - You qualify to be a teacher of you have competed in some / many competitions and / placed highly in them. You also qualify to be a teacher if you know the ins and outs of editing ; how to skin smooth & shade, how to draw hair and / or clothing, how to cut sims out from backgrounds etc. You don't have to know how to do all of those things they were just some examples.
