Ouch. No fair taking them away!
I spent the weekend working on the bottles (as a side of other things; the 'hanging pauses' are REALLY bad in Isla Paradisio). I first realized that I couldn't find any bottles or shells on the native dive lots, so I built a new one since the scuba skill only counts ones found underwater. But as you've already found, that didn't seem to help. On the other hand I got the seashell badge and the treasure chest badge along the way (did not add treasure chests to my lot, just fish and shell/bottle spawners and a couple of corals to mark where the spawners were).
But it looks like I sneaked through with one of the last Nice Arms, so I guess I can't complain too much!
The pauses are really annoying though, even with a few mods. I've started scanning the island for puppies and kittens to age them up, since they seem to cause a lot of trouble. Such a nice world otherwise. I may have to give in and dig into the files to replace the baseasland with a corrected one - the problem is I don't want to give up one of my long-running games quite yet.
