@Karritz that's the mod I keep looking at, but then I chicken out when I'm halfway through reading the instructions. I'd really like to replace a number of the worlds, but . . . that feels like a lot bigger (and riskier) change to the game than changing an item size or a minor script.
So I'm currently tolerating the pauses the way I tolerated Skyrim's pauses (at least Sims 3 doesn't routinely crash after them!), but before I try another IP run I'll probably fix the world as much as possible before starting. I'll still need to try the running a resort badges, after all!
