To get either "Nice arm!" or "Who Keeps Sending These?" you absolutely need disk copies for both the basegame AND
Seasons (for "Nice arm!") or
Island Paradise. If you dont, but know a friend who do, you can borrow their CD and contact EA's customer support to ask what is your product key for
Island Paradise (or
Seasons). OR, you may have to purchase a new CD, keep the key somewhere safe (so you give it to another simmer someday) and use the CD with the key from EA recovered from EA. It's crucial, however, that you manually patch to no latter than 1.55.XXXX, do
*NOT* automatically patch game content (store content always automatically patch itself and it's harmless).
thesims3.com/game/patchesThis said, while you're at it, you might want to try "Born Explorer" that way, because it's buggy but still achievable through "normal" gameplay, but I suspect it will work like a breeze that way.
Also, note that your current saves are likely not to be loadable, or will be severely affected, you you might have to start a new game for this(those) achievement(s)
