First I want to say welcome Molly. Thanks you for asking that question. Making a hot link is really very simple.
I have made the following substitutions in the code so it will show.
For { use .
This example will link to
Rex and Molly's Beach House(360) by Molly360.
I start by placing my url tags, opening and closing
{url}{/url}
I then add in the = sign and the words I want to hot link.
{url=}Rex and Molly's Beach House(360){/url}
Last I copy and paste the link in between the = sign and the }.
{url=http://www.thesims3.com/assetDetail.html?assetId=1480003}Rex and Molly's Beach House(360){/url}
