Can't access store content

I decided to do a clean reinstall of my lap top due to microsoft visual c++ issue which fixed it, that I would see if I could reinstall the sims 3 and have it play with my graphics card as before it said it was having compatibility issues.  Well I did the reinstall and before I went in to play, I realized I would have to download all my store stuff.  I have gone into my purchase history at sims 3 and it just says can't load page.  I really want to play to see if the issue has been resolved, but not without the hundreds of dollars I have paid for store stuff.  I have not contacted ea yet, because they are not usually helpful so before I go down that rabbit hole  I thought I would ask someone here if they have this issue and what they did if anything to fix it.
