Free Will problems on the sims 3

Does anyone know how to fix the free will problems on the sims 3, My free will setting is set to the high in the in game settings but my sims will still constantly sit around and not do anything unless they are given actions to do, I have tried multiple things to try and fix this problem but nothing seems to be working as of now.

Mine sims are very busy and happy when I actually give them free will. I have a hard time keeping up with them. I do direct them at times but they happily garden or paint or write or read books, go to town or one of the local lounges, or drive me bonkers putting the kids in the crib, out of the crib etc. I dunno why yours don't.

Your Sims actually go out on the town by themselves? Mine do not. I get wishes to visit clubs, or parks, or to go shopping, but they don't actually get in the car and go unless I tell them to go.

They will go places I don't want them to go when I let them have full autonomy, always have. I watch them closely though and try to stop them from doing things that are not within my plan for them.

Well, I guess you can push them to visit community lots autonomously if you have the option set on NRaas Story Progression. But without mods, they won't.

No, but they should watch tv, play games, socialize etc on their own with free will on.
  • It appears it might be the bathtubs causing this cause I have a household with 6 times and 2 large dogs, I’ve just tried removing the bathtubs and it appears they were doing things on theirselves alot quicker. I know it’s not my computer cause I play this game on a gaming laptop.

Of course, with free will on high they should be doing all sorts of things on their own :) I often find that sims tend to stand around and do nothing if your save file is getting kinda big. Usually, packing them up and moving to a new town on a new save fixes this!

That to.But for me its always when I own a dog, a big dog to be precise and have bathtubs.Although in my current save, it seems to be working just fine with the dogs.
