Also for future reference:
With the raise and lower terrain tools, if you use the small square brush at the softest setting and click as gently as possible:
1 click = 1/12 the height of a regular wall
3 clicks = 1/4 the height of a regular wall (or the same as the height of a regular foundation)
4 clicks = 1/3 the height of a regular (or the same height as a frieze)
12 clicks = the height of a regular wall
great tips
so if I want to make a hil to build on... and the walk out basment is on the levl of the street... I build the hill 9 clicks high? then ad my foundation?GreenCats wrote:
Hello! Thank you so much for stopping by my thread and for your kind words.
I have more tutorials planned, it always just takes me longer than I expect.
I love the Zoo U course and almost always lurk in the threads! There was one about tomb building I found particularly useful :-)
I'm honoured to be asked to guest lecture of course and would really love to participate BUT I'm currently in the final term of a DPhil, so I'm trying not to commit to anything until it's done. I've been away from it with health problems for the last two years but am finally back to it!
I'm still enjoying creating and uploading when I need a break - I just don't feel comfortable right now saying I'll be free at a certain time, because I never know when I'll be on a roll with work.
I'll be submitting at the end of September, so if the course is still running then and you'd still like to have me, perhaps we could set something up then? I'm not sure what DNA's plans are re: TS4, but no CASt and no build cheats are deal-breakers for me so I won't be going anywhere :-)
Good luck with your studies! I am a teacher (college math professor) and more school always seems like a good idea to me!
Absolutely, a Zoo U class at the end of summer would be awesome, just write to me on my Sim Page and we'll figure it all out. The class is ALWAYS set up to be the most convenient for the teacher of the class, so I'll do whatever is best for you.
Most of the individual members of D.N.A. are very underwhelmed by the lack of CASt in Sims 4 and I don't think most of us have made up our minds on even getting the game. Our plan is to keep making requests for people whether or not most of us also get Sims 4. Now, that depends on there still being people who want stuff made for Sims 3, but we'll just have to see how that goes.
I could easily see us having a list of requests that has both Sims 3 and Sims 4 requests on it and various members of the team making stuff exclusively for one game or the other and some of us making stuff for both games.
Again, we'll just have to see what happens.

Yes, I think that's right, if you're using a regular height foundation at the other side.ZooProfessor3 wrote:

Thank you! I am so happy to be finally back to it, although very nervous about how close the deadline is.
Thanks for understanding! I will get in contact when I'm done :-)yanti68 wrote:

thanks- Hi GC -- wow! Another great tutorial. And I have just the house I want to use it on. A replica on my own! The roofline is complicated and this may just be the fix I need to make it look like home.
