Issue with illnesses mod!

I have the Nraas Vector mod, and I seem to be having a glitch. I started an outbreak manually, and I got notifications showing which sims in my town had contracted the strain of certain diseases. Well, one of my teen sims' friends contracted strain 2 of simfluenza, so I decided to invite him over to make things interesting. But once he arrives and I go to greet him, he leaves right away, saying he was bored. I don't know if it's because of this mod or that it's wintertime in my game (wintertime seems to make my game slower). Any suggestions with how to fix this? Maybe resetting the sim?
  • It depends on the disease, the strain, the sims and their immunity, and some random elements. If they are constantly around sick sims while they are contagious, they have a greater chance of contracting the disease. Some of the diseases take a while before the symptoms show up so your sim might not even realize they are sick yet.

One of my sims took care of everyone around him who was sick in the house and never got sick himself (or maybe just with the common cold, this was long ago). Kind of like in real life. :)
  • Was it late in the evening when you invited them over? I've had issues with teens having friends over too close to curfew in the past.
I've also noticed older sims being invited over really late in the evening seem a lot less inclined to stick around.
But, paging @igazor just in case.

Yes it was. I reset the sim and quickly asked him to stay the night, and although the game tried to glitch he stayed. I have a teen-only household (other than some toddlers) so there might be an issue with that.
  • In addition to timing, the diseases play havoc with sims' moods. His social or fun could have suddenly tanked, for example, before the reset so to the game he might really have appeared to have been bored.

Thanks for the tip! Strangely, it hasn't affected my family (yet). Does it usually take a while to affect active families?
