Issues with interconnected worlds.

I started playing a save in Evansdale County and my sims had kids. When these kids grew into YA, decided to have them travel with some friends to Sunlit Tides and turned that into the homeworld, moved their friends into different homes and continued with the new generation with Evansdale County now a travel destination. The aim was to be able to have the parents visit and vice versa. However, that's where I ran into some issues:

1. My main sim was getting married to a friend and I wanted the parents of the bride and groom to visit, so I had her invite them over. They arrived, but then the game kept throwing script errors for all four visitors and resetting them. When their visit was over, they couldn't leave. I had to roll back to a previous save before I invited them and had the wedding without the parents.
2. My sims have two kids and I wanted them to know their grandparents so off to Evansdale County they went. However, on arrival, instead of 4 sims there were only 3 and the dad was stuck somewhere off screen. I added him back to the household with MC, but turns out he was just a copy of the original sim so he wasn't showing up as the husband...there was even an option for him to propose to his wife!
3. Even more annoying, there are now copies of the same friends now currently living in Sunlit tides running about town :(
I'm seriously considering abandoning the save now :s

  • I'm having a very difficult time following all of these things that have gone wrong, I'm afraid. I take it you are using the NRaas Traveler mod. Do you have the latest version? That one, v87, was fully released about a year ago and fixed a lot of bugs especially when custom worlds are involved. I would also ask if you have Overwatch and ErrorTrap in play, as they work together with Traveler to smooth many of these things out for us.

    Sometimes we see our homeworld sims in vacation worlds as well, they would be fellow tourists and not the full versions of themselves.

    Beyond that, I would suggest that you bring these issues to us at NRaas and especially any script error logs that need interpreting. We can't really explain what's going on until we can read those and mod support is what we are there for.
  • @igazor Yes, I have the latest versions of traveller, errortrap and overwatch. I guess I'll make an account at Nraas and post the issue there as well. Thank you.
