Lighting mod help - randomly turns off

So I recently returned to Sims 3 and for the first time decided to download some CC and mods, including a lighting mod. However, I've had an issue where it works fine for a couple sim days, then just randomly turns off and the brightness and colours go back to their original state. Reloading the game from the main menu fixes it, so if that's what I have to do it's fine, it's just really annoying and inconvenient. I tried a couple different mods (admittedly by the same person, but still). So first I tried the brntwaffles Frozen mod, and now the brntwaffles blue skies & sunshine mod, and both have the same issue.

Has anyone else had this? Is there something I'm doing wrong or is that just something that lighting mods do? It's installed into mods > packages, and my handful of other mods and CC seem to be working fine with no issues.

    I have no experience using lighting mods personally so cannot really say what might be causing this. If no one else here has anything helpful to offer, you may wish to post the question to the Sims 3 Help section of Mod The Sims (MTS) as chances are there will be more users of such mods over there who can assist.

    Try removing it from your mods folder,clear the game's cache.And replace it.
    I find whe mine gets turned off, that helps.

    This is a glitch caused by the Seasons patch simply exiting to the desktop should fix it sometimes it might take a couple of reloads.

    It also affects the games default lighting at times.

    Thank you. I'll see how it goes for a couple days as weirdly enough, it hasn't happened again since I posted and will post there if it starts happening again. :smile:

    @GraceyManor Thank you! I already tried reinstalling the mod but hadn't thought of clearing the cache as well, so will try that. :smile:
